Livestock CRP environment flagship planning meeting Nairobi 17-18 October 2016


Agenda

Day 1 • Introductions and get to know each other • Review Flagship proposal - Discussion of the development process; clarification questions. - What will keep you committed to this flagship for six years? • Review Flagship Theory of Change to establish baseline and what will be achieved (esp. in 2017) – focus on outcomes and targets - Team discussion and activity to help us absorb and own this! • Introduce Strategy and Implementation Plan framework: this is a working document that will guide the flagship for the six years of Phase II. - CRP PMU advises • Review Activities –scope, contributing partners, bilateral projects, budgets. Specify by country. We should have a plan for the first 3 years. - CRP PMU advises • For Year 1: Each partner should leave with a clear understanding of budget commitments including bilaterals and CRP. This includes cross-cutting commitments (gender, capacity development, communications, open access data). - Schedule sessions with the key cross-cutting leaders.

• DINNER

Day 2: • Agree Outputs in detail for year 1 – concrete, substantive, clearly articulated, unique outputs for W1/W2 funding, “cut & paste” bilateral project outputs; appoint Activity Leaders • M&E and reporting requirements – RBM!! o PMU advises • Team building exercise • Identify resource mobilization priorities and assignments for year 1. • Synergies and linkages to other CRPs: CCAFS, WLE and PIM • Identify year 1 “outcomes” • Think about exciting papers!
