Core Evaluators	The contract indicates that there is need to have people with adequate technical skills and MEL based process , however the people contacted seems to have the evaluation skills but don’t have the appropriate technical skills related to productivity and consumption issues, can we have expertise on the monitoring and evaluation. Doyle suggests that we need to use Florence as the Nutrition and Consumption as is a major concern on the evaluation and she will be sufficient to cover them. We will also focus more on someone with the FAO background as there will be diversity of people on the evaluation team. We will take up your suggestion to use the Niche evaluator for a specific task and look to Graeme MacFadyen for aquaculture (niche Support Evaluator) and Ingrid Kelling as a backup for the same role; Fina Opiyo for questions related to partnership Davel Patel for evaluation methodology and M&E related issues to do with ToCs (niche Support Evaluator)	KC discussed Speedy and Florence with the CRP Director and ERG Chair and Speedy looks as the excellent choice to take up as the support evaluator Doyle suggest that we look more on Florence for shaping up the evaluation issues but KC rejected the use of Florence for the evaluation. Evaluation Questions	In Result Based Management approach which we are using, normally the output and associated indicators should be to the maximum of 10 possibly objectively verifiable progress on the output they are making to the input and outcome, it will be difficult due to the wording used to the questions ie. Appropriate conceptual framework; very specifically articulated; methods adequately described; Agenda effectively informed. there are all subjected issues which will be difficult to come up with the indicators Questions and indicators formulated and posted on the wiki.	CRP is moving to the Result based management but we are not yet there. We are still trying to understand the whole process. Doyle to spend much time in the interview with the ERG and Value Chains for better understanding. Triangulation of qualitative results is required To discuss this with the evaluation group. 	Doyle indicated that he doesn’t understand the intention behind the following questions Question 6 (social sciences and value chain development) – technology evaluation and environmental sustainability – what is the meaning of social sciences and technology? Question 10 (Global public goods) - conceptual framework talk talks of innovation programs of key modality of delivery modality Question 11 (the word methodology used seems to be broad and not clear);	KC will pick it up with the ERG to be sure. Can Doyle recommend his own questions that are considered critical for evaluation? Doyle will phrase the question in the inception report	ERG/KC DB
