Background
A Livestock and Fish Program meeting in Naivasha gave birth to two new flagships: (i) System Analysis for Sustainable Innovation and (ii) Value Chain Transformation. The purpose of the meeting is to tighten the logic of the Livestock and Fish Program‘s flagship structure and to provide a solid foundation for the completion of the Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) of the two new flagships. Toward this end, it is envisaged that the following components of that process will be completed during the July meetings:
Confirm the objectives, outcomes and major outputs of the flagships through a long-term visioning exercise for the life of the program (up to 2026) Conceptualize and document on the logframe the key milestones that will indicate progress towards that objective/s Sketch out the major clusters of activities that will deliver the outputs and ultimately the objective/s Fill in increasing detail for the 2017-2019 and the 2015-2016 POWBs Sketch out thoughts on the place of gender research and cross-cutting issues in the Flagships Develop a partnership and resource mobilization strategy for the flagships
